Wow, it’s been a while. I’m still wading through a bunch of Real Life stuff. Progress is being made towards resolving my current problems, but it’s very slow progress. I look forward to the day when I have the energy to work on my comics again because I’m not being drained by everything that’s going on.

I’ve been working on and off on the Kira-backstory novella, titled ‘The Boy Who Shook the Earth’. I’ve been struggling with writer’s block on the last third of the manuscript for months now, so to feel like I’m making progress I decided to work on some of the illustrations. This is the front/back cover spread for the book! Once finished, it will be released as a digital flipbook, though I am looking into making Kindle and ePub formats. The flipbook will be free to read here on this website, but I will probably charge a dollar or two for the eBook and PDF editions, since those would be for readers to download and keep. I may even do a limited print run of physical copies, though I don’t expect to sell many (mostly those would be for family and friends, but I would offer some for purchase online if there was any interest). It will probably be about 25,000 words once finished, plus include around ten or so illustrations throughout the text and have some extra world and character information – and possibly even a few humorous mini-comics – in the appendix.

You can read a preview of the novella on DeviantArt.
