Summer has finally arrived, and despite both my comics being on hiatus, I’ve had a lot to do.
Speaking of hiatuses, Ashes’ hiatus is being extended to July. I had set May aside to finish a short comic project, but thanks to Covid stress, I ended up escaping into Animal Crossing and didn’t accomplish anywhere near as much comic work as I’d planned. I’m nearing the home stretch on this project, however. With only a few backgrounds left to ink, all I need to do after that is colour 5 pages, which, while time consuming, isn’t nearly as difficult as sketching and inking.
I now have a Gumroad store! Observant visitors to my site may have noticed the new Shop tab in the menu that stealthily appeared a couple of weeks ago. There you can purchase downloadable PDFs of Ashes chapters with shiny colour covers (ooooh) and higher res pages than are available in the archives (aaaah). The money I get from these PDF sales will help cover hosting and supplies costs so I can keep making free comics! Eryl chapters will be added eventually, so keep an eye out for that.
I also have another product in the works! Do you like phone charms of your favourite comic characters? That’s a silly question, of course you do. Well, I’m working on getting some reversible charms made of Anor and Rava. I can’t make concrete promises, but I’ve ordered samples of these designs, and if they turn out well, I can order more and put them up for sale (and maybe some Fawna and Flowerlark designs will happen too, who knows!). These might need to be Kickstarted, but it will depend on what my financial situation is when the time comes. The manufacturer is in the UK and international mail is pretty slow right now, so it could be a while before I even have the samples in hand.
