If you’re going to have Death come to your home, you must serve him tea – it’s simply good manners.

This is my second painting in the Azrael series, where I explore the theme of ‘Death is living like he’s dying’ by putting a humorous spin on a traditionally solemn figure. Being the reaper of souls, Azrael is exposed the raw emotions of humanity at their best and at their worst, which has made him fall in love with life and living it to the fullest. He knows that our time on Earth is simply too short to take everything seriously.
