Oh my goodness this page is amazing. Not just with the artwork – Andrea’s reaction seems exactly right for her character. Though, it’d be a shame if she stabbed herself in the butt by plonking down on top of her dagger.
I’m super-duper excited for next week! I love surprises! Not to mention the whole thing about a whole new chapter! Also the whole thing with consistent updates for awhile! (I’ve had too much caffeine today. But I’m still excited!)
Thank you! This was a difficult page to write. I went through quite a few ideas on how to choreograph Andrea’s reaction. In the end, I made up my mind on one, then drew this, which is totally different from what I’d meant to draw.
Sometimes you have to let the character decide how to react instead of forcing things or overthinking them. I was going to have her lean on her sword, but when I went to sketch, she ended doing this instead.
I often feel that I’m not so much writing a story as acting as a conduit for a story that’s already there.
Lol, I think you caught me while I was first installing the new theme and hadn’t yet migrated the comic archives. So yeah, they did disappear for a while.
sooooo… what do they do with Kazu now? Kill her? Methinks when Kazu smells her masters blood on Andrea’s blade, that beak and talons will probably be headed for Andrea’s internal organs!
