Wings of Fire: Clay
Without a doubt, Wings of Fire is my current favourite book series. They might be kids’ books, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t amazingly well written. My only complaint is that they don’t last long enough, haha. I read them in half a day and then have to wait six months to find out what happens next. XD
I would really LIKE to paint each of the main characters as I picture them in my head. I’ve sketched the first five, but I have no idea if I’ll have the chance to paint them all. I think it would also be fun to draw a couple of my favourite scenes as comics, but again… time.
So here we have the ‘narrator’ of the first book – The Dragonet Prophecy – Clay the MudWing. Since Mudwings are from the swamp and often described as bulky I picture them as looking a bit like a cross between an alligator and a hippo.
