Psalm is the lead female protagonist, and the least solidified character appearance-wise. I originally envisioned her as a fairly muscular caucasian woman, but as I was drawing this, she emerged as a more delicate, feminine girl. I haven’t decided yet what exactly she’ll look like, but this is the first take.

She is 17 and her personality is quite morose. She is withdrawn, quiet, stubborn, and highly defensive. This picture has her looking more neutral, but her default expression is usually a scowl.

She WAS going to be a blacksmith’s apprentice, but after seeing this version of her emerge, I think a less physically demanding apprenticeship may be in order – though I would like it to remain one that gives her access to weapons and is also an unconventional occupation for a woman.
