A silly little painting I just did of Karu from Tiffany Ross’ Shivae!: Caiden and Koel.

I’m currently working with Tiff on this arc as a colourist. Caiden and Koel’s arc began quite a few years ago in black and white, but was put on hold after the first chapter. Near the end of that chapter we met Karu, who looked kinda peacock-ish to me, and I started calling him peacock-boy. When Tiff relaunched it a year or so ago with me colouring the pages, she told me I could ‘Colour the peacock shivae any way you like.’

*Lee cracks knuckles*
‘AAAAAW YISSS, let’s go FULL PEACOCK ON THIS BOY!’

Karu also turned out kinda evil, and he’s so fabulously flashy that I picture him strutting his stuff as he comes up with his diabolical plans.
